Christmas 2011

Jingle bells jingle bells... I love xmas the most.. lighting and romantic dinner. This year, we having our xmas dinner at Kesington.

Interactive English

Im always out of my mind, how to get my kids to converse in English. Besides, boosting their confidence, we have looked at developing their reading and writing skills. I'm always believe that good speakers usually become good readers and good listener. My B class, they are lack of English background. I'm always try to communicate with them in English, however, end up they will answer back me in Mandarin.
I just read an article which could help the English teacher to conduct an English class.
First of first, always encourage them to talk to be active, attentive listener.
Secondly, always listen to what they said as well as expand and on what they have said.
Always ask them questions such as Would you like a red balloon or would you like a green one?
Always get them to answer questions with explanation, like, I like the red one because It's my favourite colour :D
3.Teachers are always the role model, students are tend to be a copiers. How you speak, what you say, the quality of your words you use, idioms and colloquial speech as well as grammatical error you make, all are usually copied and quickly become " theirs" - By Keith W. Wright
4. Always ask them to answer in full sentence instead of one or two words. like, what is your name? The response should be, My name is Veann Tan Lee Ying instead of Veann then full stop.

5. To build their vocabulary , we should always use different descriptive terms when speaking to describe the food, the weather, objects, feeling and so on, such as, I'm feeling astonished, the gloomy weather, wonderful trip....

6. Always encourage them to read storybooks and write diary.

7. For those kids who are reluctant to converse in English, we can around their interest by playing music. Uses music as an effective English language tool. This is quite successful for my B class students, they are love to sing and yet most of them are settle down and feeling invigorate when playing their favourite songs. We can get them to guess the meaning of the song.. This could help them to master their listening skills.

teacher always thinks of creating some fun atmosphere for the kids to learn. wish they able to learn in the process and also work with their team members. ^^
A teacher sees each child's unique and encourages individual talents and strength.

A teacher plays an endless roles, we not only teach textbook material but also life skills. This is consider a very first activity I have been wif J1 Qing.. How to make a sandwich.. Most of them are quite cooperate.

The same with last year, the junior 1 students gonna reshuffle their class after the school anniversary. However, the feeling of separate is not so strong as last year. Still remembered, last year a few of students cried and reluctant to change their class. Hmm... issit the students now are more rational??
Not only the students have to prepare the feeling on their new brand class , the teachers also haf to prepare the new challenges. Hopefully, Im able to handle and everything goes smoothly. ^^
